The Urban Micro-Lungs Implementation Manual, developed by our team and published by GIZ, is a municipal tool to help adopt native forest creation as a new model for urban landscaping.

Our Urban Micro-Lungs: Mini-Forests for Climate, Biodiversity & Wellbeing article was published as part of UN-FAO's report on Urban Forests. Edited by Simone Borelli, Michela Conigliaro and Federica Di Cagno, the document provides a snapshot of the current state of urban forestry around the world.

Native Plants 101 Course is an ode to the native species of Jordan, the indigenous plants of our land. The course offers an exploration journey of 24 native trees and shrubs. Through discussions, field trips, and hands-on activities, the participants explored the indigenous plants, their anatomy, uses, and ecological value. They were introduced to the science and fascinating stories of how our native species experience the world – their inner lives, intelligence, behavior, secret communications, and survival mechanisms. Organized in collaboration with Platform.

The Urban Pigeon Tower installation as part of Amman Design Week 2019.

Through a series of urban rewilding projects and installations, we aim to challenge the hidden prejudice against indigenous species and their right to the city, and to explore architecture and city space as a mediator and catalyst for ecologically-sound and biologically-inclusive practices, ones that can augment the built environment across species lines and activate the city as a rich multi-species ecosystem.
